MYCELIUM IN MOTION

The Gallery

Organic-computational prints from Dobi Love. Each piece starts as a Python simulation of mycelium growth — dense thread maps, decay patterns, spore diffusion. Printed on archival stock.

"Mycelium doesn't plan. It finds. I try to build systems like that — trading algorithms that feel their way to edge, designs that grow instead of being placed. Mycelium in Motion is where I put that instinct on paper."

— Dobi Love, Creative Director, GLDFNK™

THE PROCESS

How a spore becomes a print

Every Mycelium in Motion piece starts as a Python simulation: a diffusion-limited aggregation algorithm seeded with spore nodes on a black field.

The threads grow probabilistically — reaching toward resources, splitting at nodes, decaying at edges. No two outputs are identical. I stop the simulation when it feels right.

The output is exported at 600+ DPI. Color graded in GLDFNK™ palette. Printed on 100lb archival stock via Printful.
